This interactive artwork is inspired by my 2019 series of Devanagari typographic illustrations. Originally, I created 47 black-and-white artworks, each representing a letter from the Devanagari script, on an A6 diary. In this interactive adaptation, the audience could engage by speaking 6 distinct sounds—'K', 'T', 'S', 'N', 'B', and 'R' in English and German—which correspond to the Devanagari letters 'क' (Ka), 'त' (Ta), 'स' (Sa), 'न' (Na), 'ब' (Ba), and 'र' (Ra) in Hindi. These sounds can be spoken alone, combined with vowels (like Ra, Ri, Ru), or used in words, allowing participants freedom in how they interact. The artwork responds by displaying the Devanagari letter that matches the sound it hears.
